Longtime corporate executive, Francesca Molinari, honed her skills as an HR director, senior leader, CHRO and HRBP at these big-time corporations. She is now serving as Chief People Officer for transportation & logistics giant, Maergo, Molinari’s career claims a diversity few can. Francesca has lead organizations through multiple transactions, built credible, strong relationships with multiple leadership teams, and has had a lasting impact on employee engagement. She has a proven track record of delivering shareholder value through talent, having prepared companies for three successful exits, including an IPO.
Francesca currently serves as the Chief People Officer for Maergo. In this role, she has reunited with the former Magento CEO and other executives to lead this fast-growing startup, which is the first national shipping carrier created in over 50 years. The company is currently raising funds in its initial round.
Francesca joined Maergo from Wheels Up (NYSE: UP) where she was Chief People Officer and member of the Executive Leadership Team. Francesca played a key role in leading the company through a SPAC IPO in 2021.
Prior to that, Francesca was the senior HR leader for Adobe’s $2.44B Digital Experience business. Francesca guided the leadership team through tremendous organic growth as well as two back-to-back global acquisitions, vastly increasing revenue and doubling headcount.
Francesca joined Adobe by way the acquisition of Magento, a complicated eBay carve out. Francesca was Magento’s Chief Human Resources Officer and a founding Executive Leadership Team Member. She was a key part of the leadership team that, in just over 2.5 years doubled revenue and grew new bookings by 100%. In 2018 Adobe acquired Magento for $1.7B, a 10x revenue multiple and a 5x investor return.
Prior to eBay, Francesca was a Human Capital Consultant with Paradigm Group, leading a variety of HR engagements including succession planning and HR strategy. Before consulting, Francesca served as CHRO of Procurian, prior to its sale to Accenture. Francesca launched her career in retail, first with Macy’s and later with Barneys New York. She is proud to have served as the Central Park Conservancy’s first HR executive and a key member of the park’s Senior Management Team.
In the Chief People Officer capacity, Francesca has worked with both private and public company Boards. She has worked especially closely with Compensation Committees on strategic matters including standing up short and longterm incentive programs. Francesca serves as an advisor to start up founders, with a focus on those in the HR technology or services space.
Francesca focuses on giving back to her community and has served on several non-profit boards. She has a long history of dedicated volunteer service with a special passion for organizations that address homelessness, food insecurity, and education. She is a Trustee of the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, PA, serving on the Risk and Compliance Committee.
Francesca is the Vice Chair of the Stewardship Council of St. Thomas of Villanova Parish also in Villanova.
