BizLibrary did it again! HR Leaders, L&D Champions, Training pros, and C-Suite Executives joined BizLibrary for an exciting two days at the second annual virtual BOOST Conference.
This year’s theme: LEADERSHIP!
Day 1
BOOST kicked off with an inspiring and uplifting message from nationally-recognized researcher, speaker, and best-selling author, Michelle Gielan. Michelle’s session, Positive Leadership: Leveraging Optimism to Fuel Success and Happiness at Work, truly set the tone for Day 1’s jam-packed schedule.
Enthusiasm, energy, and an eagerness to learn carried through into each session as we discussed L&D strategies for leadership programs focused on remote organizations, emotional intelligence, successful middle management, and building a culture of ownership, diversity, and engagement.
Day 1 would not have been complete without an interactive training challenges workshop where participants had the opportunity to break out into smaller groups and discuss the challenges they’ve faced and solutions they’ve tried when it comes to leadership buy-in, proving ROI, and driving utilization within their learning programs.
Participants also enjoyed learning about BizLibrary’s newest product, BizAcademy, and how it could be a solution to their leadership development needs. This cohort-based learning program with expert instructors, group coaching sessions, on-demand lessons, and live skill discussions definitely had BOOST attendees intrigued!
Day 2
Day 2 was a huge success, starting out with sessions on what leaders must do in 2023 and the behavioral science of building a leadership development program. Mary Abbajay, President & Co-Founder of CareerStone Group and Host of Cubicle Confidential Podcast, shared the eight biggest missteps in change leadership while Gabriella Parente, Keynote Speaker, Author, and Executive Coach, provided tips on how to become more resilient.
Completing the stellar lineup were sessions on how to launch a leadership program, how to prove ROI, building a courageous culture, and crafting a leadership journey for all employees.
Brandon Smith, The Workplace Therapist, ended the conference on a high note with his session, The Leadership Secret to Unlocking Your Team, Your Time, and Your Impact. Attendees had yet another opportunity to join breakout groups, connect with other L&D professionals, and share key takeaways from the presentation. Overall, Brandon’s discussion on the “Author vs. Editor” concept left everyone feeling motivated and empowered to “author up and edit down.”
BOOST 2023 certainly had something for everyone – whether they were new to leadership development, working to improve a current leadership development program, or just looking for a BOOST of inspiration!
